Manic Monday

For every life’s heather misfortune
Perpetual confluences of trialled off tribulations
Scattered prayers and ritualized mystic practices
Pertinently undying relentless existential affirmations

Thankless gravity wraps it’s arms around me
Dragging me down beneath the darkest sky
Piercing silence of crackled reflections withered
and painless diluted this shortened day

Time has placed it bones across my shores
Sticks of proficient amber heartache
Skies of steel blue reflects in my eyes
This world grows ever tormented
The fires burn with out tinder
It’s rocks crumble into ash
The cries of the righteous fall silent before the sun

Lanced the readers heart
Words that carried no malice
Yet all that meant to enlighten me
Fell short of your expectation

Why do we long to see the morning light
Memories fade away in shadows
The darkness lifts upon this day
I guess I have very little to offer
For all I may have unresolved
Now just fades away

The bloody knife pulled from the morning
Awakened to see empty pages
Martyred victims in their wake
The night grows ever impatient
Any joys washed away by the tears
What did you expect?
