My first apartment was a single room shared by my boyfriend and I for the amazing amount of 165 a month split two ways which seemed outrageous though it did have “heat” and air conditioning. I lived in Atlanta and you needed air conditioning in the summer or you would die. And like you I worked at a restaurant which allowed me to eat whenever I worked. This was 1981.

Things seemed so simple then. Even though the price of things were tough to cover we always seem to have fun.
